Fun Day in the Sun

A friend of ours invited us to go boating with them a couple weeks ago and we all had so much fun!! I forgot my camera so thank you Angie for sending me these pictures.

I haven't been water skiing since I was married so it was about time I reunited with the sport. We also took the kids out on tubes. Karina loved it and wanted to keep going faster. Luke, on the other hand, wasn't so sure. He buried his head in the tube, closed his eyes and began thinking happy thoughts until it was over. I got to drive the boat and pull the guys on the tubes. Goal #1: Don't hit another boat. Goal #2: knock them off their tubes. Mission Accomplished!

We had a little adventure at the very end of the day. Brandon was taking one last ride on the tube and the rope got caught in the propellar so we floated to the shore and held the boat in place as the guys one by one held their breath and tried to untie the rope. It was quite a funny site watching these grown men taking turns wearing Karina's little pink goggles to dive down. I should have thought to take a picture of that one :) After realizing their attempts were in vain we flagged someone down and they pulled us to the loading dock safe and sound. What a fun day!!

Luke loved the boat ride so much that it put his to sleep. So cute!
