Sorry, it's been awhile since I've updated this thing. It's been a busy, busy couple months but I'll try to give you the Reader's Digest version starting back from my last post at the end of July:
Working on potty training, Luke gets really sick, stop focusing on potty training, he gets better, why bother potty training when we leave in a few days to California. Arrive in California, visit with my sister Trina's family for 1 day, play at the beach for 1 more day, take Luke to the urgent care for a large, bloated, hard-as-a-rock belly, he's rushed in an ambulance to a children's hospital for fear of a ruptured apendix. Not appendicitis--it's Cryptosporidium (parasite in intestines from a contaminated swimming pool), check out of hospital the next day, 2 more days at the beach and then Brandon goes home (nice vacation for him!). I visit with friends in California, then I get sick while alone with my kids at my parents house, lots of fun. Beautiful weather and scenery though--that helped.
Get home, begin potty training, stressing b/c school is soon starting, Luke's not getting it. Hillarious comment Luke makes in reference to his potty: "It's broken mommy. It's not working. It needs new batteries!" Thankfully I was blessed with the most understanding preschool teacher ever for Luke and she'll let him go in pull-ups!
Over the last few weeks: Work is really busy - deadlines approaching, move into an office, find office furniture, still potty training, buy a new car, try (unsuccessfully still) to sell our old car, hire a new salesperson, celebrate our 7 year anniversary, still potty training, preschool starts, Luke loves it thank heavens, Luke goes back to the ER (yes, a 2nd time!), Karina turns 5, birthday party at an inflatable jump house (Luke misses the party while he is recovering at home with Dad), still potty training, Karina gets her ears pierced--brave girl and she loves how fancy she looks, do a weekend trade show with work, work deadlines are here, I'm dreaming about artwork layouts, oh, and yes, I'm still potty training.
Below is a slide show of some of the memorable events over the last couple of months.

Oh Jill, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I've got tears streaming down, what beautiful babies!!! I miss them so very much, I think my heart will break! Sorry I didn't expect it to hit me so hard! Please know how much I love all of you! Each and everyone of your little family is so special to me in your own unique ways. My Beanna is such a beautiful princess and so kind and caring to all. Especially her little brother. My Lukey is so handsome and brave and kind to all of Heavenly Fathers creatures. My Jill, my Angel, my daughter, my friend. My Brandon you'll always be a super hero to me! With a little Peter Pan sprinkled in (never grow up all the way!).
I think Karina looks older to me. Her hair is even longer and she looks like a blonde Jaime Wagner to me! Lukey looks so adorable with the animals. And I have to admit it really shocked me to see pics of him with all the tubes coming out of him! Poor little guy!! I'm very grateful it's over! Mckelle looked so cute and she's sure growing up! Thank you again so much for all the pictures and the "New Reading Material"! I can now sleep well!!!!!!!!! I'm going to read it and look at the pictures one more time and then I'd better get to bed, cause it's 2:00a.m. Opps!
Love you all tons,
Mom
XOXO
Mom-I do what I can to help you get a good night's sleep :) Love you too!
Poor Lukey! I hope he's okay. And, we have a couple of kids in our preschool class with Pull-ups, so you're not alone!
WoW!!! You're amazing! How did you ever survive your summer? Good luck in the coming months! Good think those kids have such a great mom! How's the potty training? I hope it succeeds soon! Thank heavens for such a great teacher, and I LOVE the comment about his potty needing new batteries! Good job recording that one! PS Did you hear Angelle had her baby and guess what she named the little angel...Luke!!! Miss you...
LOL! Love the update Jill...it makes me dread the day I potty train Chase...
I was wondering how the whole potty training was panning out. I guess that answers my question! Wow what a summer! It must be a relief to get back to the old routine again. That is great Luc is loving preschool.
So funny! But,oh poor Luke! Those pic.s are so sad with him at the hospital. I can't believe Karina's 5! Is she in Kindergarten now?! I can't believe how old your kids look! They are SO cute! Sounds like you need a vacation from your life!
