It's Sunday and I've been home with 2 sick kids for 3 days now. Cabin-fever is a bit of an understatement. Besides attending to the kids, I've read a little, organized the game closet, the kids' closets, done the laundry, the dishes, continually picked up after the kids, made cookies, painted Karina's toenails and fingernails (with flowers and all!), played trains with Luke, watched too much Dora, Max & Ruby, and Diego, taken naps with the kids, played Uno Attack, participated in a brushing hair train, done multiple dinosaur puzzles, helped Karina with her reading exercises ...... and I've run out of things to do to keep from going crazy so I decided to blog. I'm sure there are other things I could be doing (like getting dinner ready but everyone knows how much I love to cook so I'll postpone that for another hour).
The last few months have been filled with visitors (MY FAVORITE THING!!!) First, we had Nana Wagner come in April, then Grandma Jonna & Grandpa Bobby in May and my sweet niece McKelle came in June. It has been so much fun!!! Below are some pictures of life in Texas the last little while.
Other than visitors, the summer has been HOT, HOT, and more HOT! This is my 3rd year in Texas and I've NEVER felt it like this. We keep having record heat spells and I'm sick of it. Even the pool doesn't always work to cool us off. I'm definitely looking forward to our trip to Utah at the end of the month to get a break from the heat (and of course to see my wonderful family and friends).

Oh Jill!!! I LOVE the pictures! I can't believe how grown up the kids are getting, and we're missing it!!! Word on the street is that you all might come out here in Dec! We'd LOVE to have you!!! We would even keep the kids here in O-town while you're in Tampa if you need us too! We even have an extra bedroom this time! LOVE YOU!!!
OH MY WORD, I GOT NEW READING MATERIAL AND PICS!!!!!! YEA!!!! The kids look so cute! I miss them and can't wait for your trip here!!! I hope everyone gets feeling great soon!

oh jill, your kids are adorable. it looks like you all have had a lot of fun this summer. as you have had records there for hot weather, our summer here has been the coldest on record. can you send some of that warm air here? oh, by the way, i'm glad to see you still frequent Chick-Fil-a. good memories of that place and Alison's birthday.
